Meghan Markle Will Have To Bend And Bow To Kate Middleton

Meghan Markle will have to curtsy to several royals when she marries Prince Harry and joins the most popular British family.

Myka Meier, founder and director of Beaumont Etiquette, told People that Queen Elizabeth II will update the order of precedence in the Royal Household after Prince Harry and Markle's wedding. It was last updated in 2012 following Prince William and Kate Middleton's nuptials.

The "Suits" star is expected to curtsy before Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. In addition, Markle will have to bend and bow to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge due to Prince William's position in line for the throne. Markle must also curtsy to the princesses born into the royal family, including Princess Anne, Princess Alexandra, and to Prince Andrew's daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie. But there will be a reversal of roles when Prince Harry is present as the princesses must curtsy to Markle.

Markle will also have to bend and bow to Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, if she is physically with her husband, Prince Edward. Otherwise, the act will not be necessary.

Curtsy is a simple gesture where one leg is placed behind the other before bending the knees and bowing the head. It depends on the person which foot goes behind. Middleton usually puts her left foot behind the right.

In related news, Markle is reportedly preparing herself physically as she joins the royal family. Prince Harry's fiancée hired a professional martial arts trainer to teach her the basics of self-defense. "Meghan will be trained in many different [areas], including what public places she should avoid, what she should do if she was ever approached and attacked in public and how to release herself from a situation like that," one source said.

Markle just hired Michael Jackson's ex-bodyguard, Matt Fiddes, to train her, TMZ reported. Fiddes is a popular celeb security adviser and trainer. He is also expected to help the "Remember Me" star get into her best shape ahead of her royal wedding with Prince Harry.

Fiddes owns one of the biggest martial arts franchises in the world and has worked with tons of celebrities like Tom Cruise and Jackson. In addition, he lives in Britain so he is perfect for the job.
