Newcastle’s fashionistas and brides to be are being urged to get involved with one of wedding fashion’s biggest names this month – thanks to a Morpeth based boutique.
Kathryn Trueman Bridal, on the market town’s Bridge Street, is teaming up with Israeli haute couture designer Inbal Dror for their trunk show on the Gateshead quays , with a limited number of free tickets still available for the 6pm start.
The exhibit, set to be held at the Sage Gateshead on September 15, will showcase the latest designs from Inbal Dror, which are known for their highly detailed, hand finished garments, before they go on sale in store. Kathryn Trueman – namesake and owner of the bridal boutique – says it should be something special.
“We’ve got a whole range of dresses by some amazing designers but Inbal Dror brings something unique to the table. We always look for that one thing in each designer we feature and with Inbal Dror it’s the level of fine detail. We are the only store outside of London to have these beautiful dresses so it’s a huge name for the North East.
“There’s going to be live entertainment, canapes and champagne but the main event is obviously the dresses.”
Kathryn says it’s great to be able to offer desirable dresses from her hometown. “Growing up in Morpeth I always thought it was a little unfair to have brides travel to London or overseas to get the dress of their dreams. Now though, they’re right on their doorstep.
“We also get a lot of interest from places like Nottingham in the middle of the two who prefer to come north than south. I know we get a lot of people from Dubai and Australia too and that interest has carried over to the trunk show, so if you haven’t already booked, I’d urge you to get involved!”
Free tickets are still available for the Inbal Dror Trunk show on September 15, but are extremely limited and anyone interested is advised to reserve theirs as soon as possible.
Those looking to attend can book their free ticket by calling Kathryn Trueman Bridal on 01670 511 917 or by emailing [email protected] The dresses are on show at Kathryn Trueman Bridal by appointment until September 17.
